Ribbon Reverie began as an original photograph of an art glass vase from the collection once represented by Liquid Sands Gallery. Rather than photographing the vase as a traditional still life, Kym focused on the intricate details within the glass, capturing layers of color that twist, fold, and flow together like ribbons.

The resulting image feels almost dreamlike — part abstract painting, part flowing landscape, and perhaps just a little reminiscent of the colorful ribbon candy found in old-fashioned candy shops.

Now transformed into a jigsaw puzzle, those sweeping bands of color become a delightful challenge. As the pieces come together, new patterns and unexpected details emerge, revealing the remarkable complexity hidden within the original glasswork.
